Ayurveda
The science of life.
A 5,000-year-old path back to wholeness, balance, and the natural rhythm of being well.
Removing the Mystery
The science of life, explained
Ayurveda, a 5,000-year-old medical system, originated in ancient India. The word ayurveda is a combination of the Sanskrit words ayus, which means "life," and veda, which means "knowledge" or "science." As a result, ayurveda is the science of life and offers a broad perspective and practical tools for leading a long, healthy, and happy life.
Its objective is to help us get back to our natural state of wholeness, balance, and health. Ayurveda is a philosophy of health and healing that is founded on consciousness. According to Ayurveda, health is more than just the absence of disease; it is also a state of expanded awareness that allows us to feel more joy, happiness, and creativity.
Due to the experiential aspect of Ayurveda, it is known that choices you make about experiences such as those involving food, relationships, sensory sensations, sleep, work, interactions, and daily routine all have an impact on your body. Because biology is the metabolism of experience, it evolves as your experiences change.
